Meteor Shower Guide
Meteor Shower isn't a limited-time festival or collab -- it's a rare weather condition, the same family as Rain, Snowfall, and Rainbow. When it rolls around, meteorite nodes appear for one night only and the secret merchant Doris comes out to trade for what you mine.
Spotting a Meteor Shower
Like Rain, Snowfall, and Rainbow, a Meteor Shower is weather -- it isn't scheduled on a calendar, so check your in-game watch for the weather forecast. A moon icon surrounded by stars means one's coming. Once it starts, it's a nighttime-only window, roughly 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Mining Starfall Shards
Nine meteorite nodes spawn across whichever region is active for that shower -- the affected area rotates every few weeks (Onsen Mountain and Fishing Village are both confirmed). Each node yields a handful of Starfall Shards, and once a node is mined it's gone for that instance -- there's no respawning mid-shower, so it pays to move fast and clear all nine before the window closes.
Obtained by mining Starfall Ore during a meteor shower. Can be redeemed for various souvenirs at Doris's Fortune Store.
Shards come in a few colors, and not every shower rolls all of them:

Finding Doris
Unique NPC who appears only during special weather events (rain, snowfall, rainbow, meteor shower). Sells exclusive recipes like Roll Cake, rare ingredients, emotes, and meteorite furniture. Uses Star Fragments as currency for meteor items.
During a Meteor Shower specifically, she sets up near the meteorite impact sites (or the nearest bus stop in the affected region) -- not her usual Art Street spot, which is a Rain/Snowfall thing. She sells meteorite-themed furniture (bathtubs, lamps, chandeliers) for roughly 12-20 shards each, and a "Wish Upon Shooting Stars" Emote for about 5.
The Wish Badge
Buy the Wish Upon Shooting Stars Emote and use it with one or two friends nearby to trigger a falling-star animation -- it awards the "Beneath the Meteor Shower" badge and a Gemini profile title, so it's worth grouping up for before the shower ends rather than using the emote solo.
